Jose Alejandro Plata is an artist and designer currently based between Colombia and Barcelona.

With a focus on experimentation, noise, abstraction, real-time technologies, worldbuilding and performance, he collaborates with cultural institutions, artists, and brands to create visuals, experiences, evocative storytelling, and sculptural objects.

His work explores reality and simulation, weaving physical media and technology. Influenced by his homeland and rooted in Latin American folklore, his inspirations include oral tradition, material processes, and the local vernacular.
